How Much Is Two Trillion Dollars?
Washington says it will cost two trillion dollars to fix the bridges and roads in America. and they said it without even blinking an eye. It's not their money, it's ours, so why should they be concerned with how much it costs.
Remember back before Regan? We talked about millions of dollars. Then the first Bush came along and we started talking about billions of dollars. Then the second Bush came along (because we were stupid) and now it's trillions of dollars. Our government keeps getting more expensive.
And we will probably let them spend it. I don't think Americans even understand how much two trillion dollars is. So I'm going to try and explain it:
If you spent one million dollars a day from the time Jesus was born to today you would still have 700 years to go to spend two trillion dollars. That's a lot of money isn't it? And guess what, it's not going to cost that much money to fix the roads and bridges in America.
That money is going somewhere else and we aren't going to know where. Keep up with what's going on in Washingto, America. It's your money, it's your life. Don't let them ruin it anymore.
