July 4th With My Kids

I spent the best July 4th holiday ever with my two boys this year. The fireworks were wonderful, especially for a littl town like mine. My youngest son, Carson had eye as big as saucers as he watched the fireworks explode in the night sky. And Austin, my oldest sat calmly and watched also.
For the first time in quite a while I was actually proud to be an American. A lot of people haven't felt that way in quite a awhile.
the crowd for the fireworks was amazing. The whole town showed up at the high school. the band played oldies and did costume changes.
At the July 4th parade in town earlier that day my two boys and I rode with the grandparents in his classic 57 Ford Fairlane. My sons waved at everyone and everyone waved back.
I sure do wish everyday could be like the 4th of July. I felt like a politician.
